Human Beings are the ones to be blamed, for they have destroyed the environment by clearing trees without replacing them,they have encroached forests,releasing toxic fumes into the air in an irresponsible manner.

There is hunger,no water, outbreak of diseases,people are dying,plants have refused to grow, no more rains. What is left for us on this earth?

All over the world, politicians are politicizing this issue instead of giving it a serious after thought.Africa no longer has beautiful wild life that used to generate income for the government especially on the side of tourism. Today,that is a story of the past, as a result of loss of wild animals.

Will the local and world leaders stand up and give a final solution to this problem? We need to save our beautiful and most adored mother nature!

One day, I sat down and went into deep thoughts. I wondered how this current world has been manipulated with unclean spirits of people using drugs, engage in violence and sexual immoralities.

The most commonly abused drugs are, Bhang, Miraa and alcohol that end up stimulating the body, leading people into doing crazy stuff when high.

When I recall back what happened to a friend of mine as a result of drugs, tears roll down my eyes, as this was a bright student when who we were with, in primary and had a brighter future ahead of him.

Still, blame lie on the environment he was brought up in. It was full of drug addicts, poverty was very high, no role models, not even a being to offer him a word of advice.

As innocent as he was, and ready to make inventions and innovations, using the slightest chance he got, a friend of his told him that, if he started smoking Bhang, he would be more brighter and calculating sums would be as first as lightning andeasy as ABC.

Young at that age, he was so curious to know what content a roll of Bhang might have. Curiosity killed the cat, but the academically smart boy did not think twice about it.

The first time to have it, he found it so interesting, as days went by, he tripled his intake. By then, he had become the conqurer of the drug world. Unfortunately, he did not think of the dangers he was putting himself into.He became an addict and leaving it was a pipe dream.

With time, his performance in school started dwindling, his health had already deteriorated. He looked so shabby and no longer bothered who he was, where he was going, not even what the future held for him

The drugs forced him to drop out of school, hence his parents left him in the world of freedom. Concerning his deeds, his parents became wild at him. Then he came to Nairobi city to search for freedom. When he alighted in the city he found life so pathetic, which forced him to leave like a street urchin, eating leftovers, sniffing glue, and using all other sorts of drugs that stimulate the body.

I pitied the boy so much because his life now does not symbolize a brighter future which was for a long time his passion. Therefore, I would like to request those who are concerned, like Non Govenrmental Organizations government, well wishers including all institutions to come up and join hands to fight against drugs in Kenya.

Day in, day out, it is destroying the young at heart, who are the future leaders of tomorrow.

They should also educate people and mobilize them in educational sectors like primary schools, secondary schools, colleges, and universities about the consequences of using drugs. They should also create more educational centers like rehabilitation homes to reduce the rate of street families.

My names are, Kennedy Kisolo Kabiru, I was born in the year 1987 in a small area called Kiamaiko ward, Huruma location, Starehe constituency in the eastern parts of Nairobi city. I belong to the Kikuyu tribe.

I am a Kenyan citizen by naturalization through my beloved Mr. and Mrs. Kabiru. I can speak English, Kiswahili, and Kikuyu.I managed to finish up my primary education but could not make it to secondary due to the family financial constraints.

As a result of the path of life I chose to lead,I did not know what it would like in the end.

Street life was more unbearable for me, then I got into drugs so that I would force myself to adopt the living conditions of street. Little did I know that I was digging my own grave.

With time, I became a drug addict and could not do without them.At the same time, my body could not resist it, to an extent that, if I fell ill, I would not bother to seek for medication, rather would sniff glue to get rid of cold.

From the time it came to my senses, the mess I was putting myself into, I can admit, it was not yet too late for me to reform to a better life.

In order to cater for some of my basic needs, I collect plastic containers and iron materials around the slums, where I take them to be weighed, and the pay is small.

This pay is so minimal, that it cannot cater for upkeep of a person, not even bring food to the table on a daily basis.

It is so pathetic in that the houses are slum like, sewage is just running on the doorstep,flying toilets are widely used in this area, and as time goes by, it endangers peoples health more and more.

Therefore my interest concerning my community is that the concerned persons and well wishers all over the world should come up and solve the problem by putting in place, better houses,treat sewage and more toilets should be constructed to avoid pollution of the environment.

The world all over should take stern action against those selling and buying illegal drugs and alcohol and changáa.
